Meet Nicole Retchin
We were lucky to catch up with Nicole Retchin recently and have shared our conversation below.
Nicole, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
A recent “big risk” I took was when I purchased my own commercial kitchen in the beginning of 2021. Prior to this, I was renting different kitchens in the South Florida area for several years. Being a single mom with 2 kids, this was something that weighed on me, but I knew the only way I was going to take my business to the next level, was to take the risk! It’s a lot of work but it is definitely paying off. I’m thankful for all the support I’ve received through the years and continue to do so.

Meet Chef Nicole, Chef, and Entrepreneur
Hi Nicole, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
For as long as I can remember I knew I wanted to be a teacher or a chef. I wanted to make an impact on others. I’ve always had a passion for food, health & fitness. I decided to go into culinary arts where I graduated from Johnson & Wales University. As I grew my business I worked at a local Eating Disorder Facility where I was able to help women and give cooking/nutrition classes. Since then I have expanded my business immensely. I purchased my own commercial kitchen in early 2021 and that was a game-changer. My staff and I are currently producing over a thousand meals weekly. Being a single mom and in charge of my own future has led to much learning and growth. I am grateful every day to wake up, go to work and truly do something I love...
